Parking

Street Parking

Parking on the streets is, in theory, prohibited by the City of Charleston. The streets are simply not wide enough to allow for parking and an emergency vehicle. In addition, all trailers (boat, dump, etc.) are supposed to be out of sight.

Please don't park on the street. Don't use the street to park your trailer on.

Overflow Parking Lot

The overflow parking lot can be used by anyone in the neighborhood, and their guests, for any period of time. No trailers or unregistered vehicles. All vehicles must be under the weight restrictions outlined in the rules.

Hosting a Large Event?

On occasion residents have asked for flexibility on the street parking rule when hosting an event with many guests. Technically the Board has no legal jurisdiction on the issue, but we can help decrease the probability that the police will be called.

If you are having an event of that magnitude, let the Board know and we will use this website, an email blast, and the unofficial Facebook page to let everyone know about the event.

Direct your guests to use these in order:

  1. 1
    Your driveway
  2. 2
    The overflow parking lot
  3. 3
The circle at the end of the cul-de-sac

This will help minimize any issue regarding access for emergency vehicles.
